What do we need to know about religion in Leeds?
Here at Leeds, we have a a long history of research work about, with and for organisations in the city. This research day will provide an opportunity for dialogue about what the research needs are for these organisations, and what researchers and our students can do to address those needs. As well as academic and student presentations about ongoing projects and methods, the day will importantly have a series of short presentations from a range of local public and third sector organisations about their research needs and strategic concerns. The outcomes of the day will, we hope, include the start of some new project plans and collaborations around shared interests and concerns. Professor Chris Baker (William Temple Professor of Religion and Public Life at Goldsmiths, University of London and Director of Research, William Temple Foundation) will give a plenary reflection and response to the day.
